Probes
With probes you can perform reconnaissance activities, gather information about your enemies and your potential targets. After its launch, a probe finds an orbit around the target planet. The success of the reconnaissance activity greatly depends on the ratio between the scores of the target planet and the planet launching the probe.
If the target planet is equipped with defense satellites (automatic), your probe will be destroyed and have no effect. One defense satellite is capable of destroying one probe only. Once the planet has lost all of its defense satellites, you may start using your probes effectively.
The target planet will be informed about your probing.
Types of Probes:
Booster rocket
Booster rockets are required for the launching of probes – the launching of an plasmator probe requires one booster rocket, while the launching of other probes requires two booster rockets.
Plasmator probe
This probe can discover plasmators located around your planet that are suitable for production.
Planetary probe
With the use of planetary probes you may obtain useful information about the target planet – such as the number and distribution of its plasmators, the size of its fleet and planetary defense system, as well as about the quantity of its accumulated stocks of raw materials. The probe requires two booster rockets.
Ship probe
The ship probe gathers information about the ships of the target planet. You can learn what type and how many ships the target possesses. This probe requires two booster rockets.
Defense Satellite
This unit is used for the destruction of alien probes by blowing them up. As long as you have a defense satellite available, your enemies cannot use their probes. Defense satellites are destroyed when they destroy the alien probes. These units operate automatically, and no booster rockets are required.
Planetary defense probe
With the PDS intelligence probe, you can obtain information on the size and structure of the defense systems of the target planet. This probe requires two booster rockets.
Military probe
The military probe not only gathers information about the size and structure of the target planet’s fleet, but also about the number and status of the ships located on the base. This probe requires two booster rockets.
Information probe
The information probe gathers information about all the events specific to the target planet. The probe is carried by two booster rockets.
IMPORTANT!
Information probes targeting Shin planets are unreliable due to the unique features of this species!
